Subscribing to StockCharts

Overview

While it is possible to use many of our charting tools for free with limited functionality, joining StockCharts as a member will allow you to unlock all of our most powerful tools, features and expert commentary.

Here are some examples of the limitations that exist for Free users but not for members:

  • Free users can only create charts based on Daily and Weekly data bars, with a maximum of 5 years of data.

  • Free users cannot create charts with more than three technical indicators and/or overlays.

  • Free users cannot create and save annotated charts for later review.

  • Free users cannot create and run custom technical scans and alerts.

  • Free users cannot read market commentary from John Murphy, Arthur Hill or Martin Pring's premium columns.

Becoming a StockCharts member lifts those restrictions and more, opening up to the full functionality of our charting tools and giving you complete access to our technical experts.

We offer several different membership options, including three different service levels and multiple data plans. These options give you the flexibility to tailor your StockCharts membership to your specific needs. Check out the video below or read on to learn more about our Service Levels, Data Plans, renewal options and pricing.

Becoming a Subscriber

There are several links on our website that can be used to sign up for our subscription service, including the Sign Up link found in the upper right corner of all of our web pages.

We offer a one-month free trial to all new subscribers. After completing the signup process, we welcome you to upgrade and/or downgrade your StockCharts account to try each of our different Service Levels during your free month. You can also change your renewal cycle (monthly or annual).

In addition, you can add real-time Data Plans during the free trial; however, since these fees go directly to the exchange, we cannot offer a free trial of the real-time Data Plans. Instead, your credit card will be charged a prorated amount for the Data Plan, based on the number of days left in your free trial.

For step-by-step instructions on changing your Service Level, renewal cycle and Data Plan options, check out our Managing Your Subscription page in the Support Center.

At any time during the trial period, you can cancel by clicking on your name or the person icon located in the top right corner of any page, choosing “Your Account” and then clicking the “Cancel Your Account” button. Your cancellation will take effect at the end of the trial period.

If you have not canceled during your trial, then, at the end of the trial period, we will charge your credit card based on your most recently selected Service Level, renewal cycle and Data Plan options.

For more information on credit card charges and our billing process in general, please see our Billing Policies page in the Support Center.

Note: The Free Trial Period is only available to new subscribers. It is not available to returning subscribers.
