The ChartList Library allows you to browse through your own saved charts to find the one you're looking for. While you can quickly access a saved chart by name using the dropdown menus above the chart in the SharpCharts Workbench, the ChartList Library gives you more options for finding charts, including thumbnails of each saved chart and the ability to search by keyword.
From the SharpCharts Workbench, choose "ChartList Library" in the panel menu below the chart.
By default, the library shows thumbnail images of your saved charts in Grid View.
Use the Thumbnail Size slider at the top of the library to change the size of the thumbnails.
If you would prefer to see a list of saved chart names instead, you can switch to List View using the tabs at the top left of the ChartList Library.
Whether you are using Grid View or List View, the process of finding saved charts is similar.
Start by selecting the ChartList you want using the "Select Library" dropdown menu at the top left.
You can also search your saved charts by keyword using the "Search ChartList Library" box at the top right of either Grid View or List View.
Once you have browsed or searched to find the saved chart you wish to view, mouse over the chart's thumbnail image (Grid View) or chart's name (List View), and click the Up Arrow icon to load that chart in the SharpCharts Workbench.
In List View, you can preview the saved chart before loading it in the workbench, by clicking on the saved chart name. A preview of the chart will be shown on the right side of the ChartList Library.
To load the saved chart in the workbench from List View, either mouse over the saved chart's name and click the Up Arrow icon, or if you are already previewing the chart, just click the green "Load Chart" button below the preview image.
When you click on a symbol on your ChartList, your saved chart for that symbol will be loaded by default. Sometimes, it can be helpful to view a chart for that symbol using a different ChartStyle. For example, if the saved charts on your ChartList are all daily charts, and you want to browse through weekly charts for those symbols, you'll want to use a different ChartStyle.
To do this, change the displayed chart (it doesn't need to be one of the saved charts) to match the weekly style you want. Then, check the Load Symbol Only checkbox at the top of the ChartList. After making these changes, click on the Up Arrow icon for symbols in your ChartList as usual. Each chart will be displayed in the weekly style you set up in the first step.
Note: This functionality temporarily loads the chart in a different ChartStyle; the style of your saved chart remains unchanged.
To go back to loading the saved versions of your ChartList charts, simply uncheck the Load Symbol Only checkbox.
You can view any comments you've added to the saved chart from either Grid View or List View.
In Grid View, simply mouse over the chart thumbnail and click the Info icon. The chart comments will be displayed on top of the thumbnail.
When previewing a saved chart in List View, any saved chart comments will be displayed directly below the preview of the chart.
Cool Tip: To edit the chart comments, load the saved chart in the workbench, then click the "Chart Comments" option in the panel menu below the chart. From this panel, you can view and edit the comments for the displayed chart.
You can rename one of your saved charts from List View. Simply mouse over the saved chart's name and click the Pencil icon to change the chart's name.
In the small window that opens up, type in the new name for the saved chart and click the "Update Chart Name" button.
To delete one of your saved charts from your ChartList in either Grid View or List View, simply mouse over the chart thumbnail (Grid View) or chart name (List View) and click the red Trashcan icon. You will be prompted to confirm the deletion.
